oh how i love dave warnke's work

Man oh man - I love Dave Warnke's work! I don't know if it's the crazy fun color, the funky shapes all over the place or just the absolute happiness that it brings me! Ha! I'm guessing that it's probably a combo of all three things. Be sure to check out his site for all kinds of cool stuff. If you visit his flickr page, you can catch a glimpse inside his studio from time to time. My favorite part about this piece would have to be the happy orange gumdrop lookin' thing in the center!

suburban monsters and stuff

I sure like the work of Matte Stephens. It's fun, silly and just plain cool. A contact of mine on flickr recently bought a print of his from his Etsy shop so I checked it out and instantly liked what I saw. This was one of my many favorites. I like the textures and the looseness of the linework. I never could get gouache to work this kind of magic for me! Maybe I'd be lucky enough to do a trade with him someday (or get him to show in my gallery!). A link to his Etsy shop can be found on his site.
