suburban monsters and stuff

I sure like the work of Matte Stephens. It's fun, silly and just plain cool. A contact of mine on flickr recently bought a print of his from his Etsy shop so I checked it out and instantly liked what I saw. This was one of my many favorites. I like the textures and the looseness of the linework. I never could get gouache to work this kind of magic for me! Maybe I'd be lucky enough to do a trade with him someday (or get him to show in my gallery!). A link to his Etsy shop can be found on his site.
